Summer Camp Program

Learning Disabilities Association of York Region’s SUMMER CAMP is designed for Children with a Primary Diagnosis of Learning Disabilities and/or ADHD

In a safe, encouraging and positive environment, learning social skills has never been so much fun! Skills learned include introducing oneself, ways to make friends, responding to teasing, being a good winner and loser, dealing with emotions, problem solving, relaxations, and self-esteem.

Activities include outdoor swimming, nature walks, arts and crafts and more!

Maximum 12 children per session, with a caring staff to child ration of 1:6.
**First time participants must provide a copy of child’s Psycho-educational Assessment**

**Before and after care available for a fee

How to Register:

  1. Please click the registration link below.
  2. After your form has been submitted you will be contacted to arrange an intake interview for you and your child.
  3. Based on this intake, we will decide whether or not this program will be beneficial for your child.

There are no guarantees for a spot as participants are placed in groups depending number of registrants, their age and gender.

Note: Due to enrollment requirements, program availability is subject to change.  Full payment due at time of registration. 

Fees are non-refundable. No make-up days available.

During our PD Day sessions, you can spend the day with peers who have learning disabilities or ADHD just like you! You will discuss your transition to high school, post-secondary, and beyond with people who understand your struggles and appreciate your strengths. Learn practical skills and strategies to help you be more independent and advocate for yourself.
