About the Speaker – Denise Harding

Denise holds a BA (Honours) from the University of Waterloo. She completed her professional coach training at Adler International Learning (OISE, University of Toronto) and is a member of the International Coaching Federation (ICF), Centre for ADHD Awareness Canada (CADDAC), and the Canadian Education Association (CEA). She spent seven years as a development consultant at Learning Disabilities Association of Ontario (LDAO) and represents the Learning Disabilities Association of York Region as an alternate on the York Region District School Board Special Education Advisory Committee. Denise is a director of the Ontario provincial board of Canadian Parents for French (CPF), working with CPF’s special education advocacy committee. Denise has taught a variety of workshops for parents and educators on coaching exceptional children, executive function, learning disabilities, and ADHD. She is a presenter at the CPF 2012 National Roundtable in Ottawa on the issues experienced by academically challenged students in French immersion programs to an assembly of representatives from federal and provincial governments, national associations, school districts, and learning disabilities associations. Denise is the mother of a child with ADHD and learning disabilities.
